**About Author :- **
The author **Jonathan David "Jon" Rogawski ** (1955-2011 ) was an American mathematician. He studied at Yale University with a bachelor's and master's degree in 1976 and a doctorate with Robert Langlands in 1980 (Applications of the Building to Orbital Integrals).

As a post-graduate student he was 1980/81 at the University of Bonn and from 1981 to 1983 at Yale. In 1983/84 he was at the Institute for Advanced Study and then until 1986 at the University of Chicago.

He was a professor at theUniversity of California, Los Angeles, where he had been since 1986 and was given a full professorship in 1989. He died in 2011 after suffering from cancer for a long time.
