This text is an overview of the basic concepts of the theory of measure and integration as a prelude to the study of probability, harmonic analysis, linear space theory, and other areas of mathematics. The reader is then introduced to a variety of applications of the basic integration theory developed in the previous chapter, with particular reference to the Radon-Nikodym theorem. Also discuss the functional analysis, with emphasis on various structures that can be defined on vector spaces.

About Author :-
Author Robert B. Ash (1935-2015) is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois. He start his career as an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University and then a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, before coming to the University of Illinois Department of Mathematics in 1963. He retired in 1990. Bob was author of thirteen textbooks.
