"Gott wird dieh bestrafen, wenn du Seinen Namen leiehtfertig verwendest", behaupteten sie. "Ein Satz darf niemals mit einer Praposition beendet werden. ,,1 Zu der damaligen Zeit leitete sieh mein Selbstvertrauen hauptsaehlieh aus meiner Fahigkeit zu argumentieren ab, daher reagierte ieh intellektuell. reh wurde besessen davon, herauszufinden, was wahr ist, wenn es das tiberhaupt gibt, und in welchem Sinne.
Ungefahr zu dieser Zeit gesehahen zwei Dinge. Ich lernte die ebene Geometrie kennen, die ieh faszinierend fand , und ieh stellte fest , daB der Ausdruek "mathematisch bewiesen" volksttimlieh synonym fUr "absolut sieher" ist. reh sehloB daraus, daB absolute Wahrheit, wenn sie tiberhaupt gefunden werden kann, in der Mathematik liegen muE.
