The author ** Brian Bradie ** received his BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Clarkson University, MS in Applied Mathematics from Clarkson University and Ph D in Applied Mathematics from Clarkson University.

After a two-year position as a J. Willard Gibbs instructor with the Mathematics Department at Yale University, he joined the faculty at Christopher Newport University in 1993, where he has remained ever since. Brian is also the author of the text "A Friendly Introduction to Numerical Analysis." Away from mathematics, he enjoys watching The Big Bang Theory with his family and serving as the Faculty Representative for the CNU Women's Lacrosse team.
