This book is a translation from Romanian of "Probleme Compilate şi Rezolvate de Geometrie şi Trigonometrie" (University of Kishinev Press, Kishinev, 169 p., 1998), and includes problems of 2D and 3D Euclidean geometry plus trigonometry, compiled and solved from the Romanian Textbooks for 9th and 10th grade students, in the period 1981-1988, when he was a professor of mathematics at the "Petrache Poenaru" National College in Balcesti, Valcea (Romania), Lycée Sidi El Hassan Lyoussi in Sefrou (Morocco), then at the "Nicolae Balcescu" National College in Craiova and Dragotesti General School (Romania), but also he did intensive private tutoring for students preparing their university entrance examination. After that, he have escaped in Turkey in September 1988 and lived in a political refugee camp in Istanbul and Ankara, and in March 1990 he immigrated to United States.
The degree of difficulties of the problems is from easy and medium to hard. The solutions of the problems are at the end of each chapter. One can navigate back and forth from the text of the problem to its solution using bookmarks. The book is especially a didactical material for the mathematical students and instructors.

The author Florentin Smarandache is professor emeritus of mathematics at University of New Mexico, 705 Gurley Ave., Gallup, New Mexico 87301, USA
He did post-doctoral researches at Okayama University of Science (Japan) (2013-2014); at Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, 2012; at National Superior School of Engineers and Study of Armament (ENSIETA), Brest, France, 2010; at Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, NY, USA under State University of New York Institute of Technology, 2009. He earned his graduated from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Craiova in 1979, earned his Ph. D. in Mathematics from the State University Moldova at Kishinev in 1997, and continued postdoctoral studies at various American Universities and Research Institutions, such as University of Texas at Austin, University of Phoenix, Arizona State University, New Mexico State University at Las Cruces, Los Alamos National Laboratory etc.
In U.S. he worked as a software engineer for Honeywell (1990-1995), adjunct professor for Pima Community College (1995-1997), in 1997 Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico, Gallup Campus, promoted to Associate Professor of Mathematics in 2003, Full Professor in 2008, and Professor Emeritus since 2022.
