4 - 2 ÷ (1/2) + 3
According to BODMAS we have to solve first division. Convert the division operation into multiplication, fraction 1/2 is also change into 2/1
2 = 4 - 2 × --- + 3 Now operate multiplcation 1 = 4 - 4 + 3 = 3
1 2 ÷ --- ≠ 1 2 When divisible sign exist we can't cut 2 with 1/2 First convert division sign into multiplication 1 2 2 ÷ --- = 2 × --- = 4 2 1
